Whitby Chamber of Commerce kicks off new Speaker Series with Jason Atkins
Whitby, Ont. – Great stories serve to inspire and educate, and the Whitby Chamber of Commerce (WCC) is excited to get the story behind some of the region’s most familiar faces in their newest Speaker Series sponsored by Motorcity Mitsubishi and Whitby Economic Development.
Hosted at the Centennial Building, this series is designed to highlight the talent, diversity and leadership within the community. Emcee Jason King, Employee & Channel Engagement Manager at 360insights, will sit down with some of the local professionals leading the way and get their story. Prior to each installment, guests will have the opportunity to network while enjoying hors d’oeuvres from local businesses. First up is the Tap & Tankard and Whitby’s newest brewery, Town Brewery, that will be providing a taste of what they have on tap.
The series will kick off Wednesday, January 17 at 5 p.m. where King will put his boss, Jason Atkins, CEO at 360insights, in the hot seat.
Atkins is the founder and CEO of 360insights, the world’s first Channel Success Platform. Founding his first technology company in high school, he has a long track record of using his strong entrepreneurial spirit and technology expertise to grow businesses and create new opportunities. Before founding 360insights in 2008, he was President and CEO at TMR, a marketing services company. Atkins’ business philosophy is grounded in workplace happiness and having a strong commitment to clients and community.
King and Atkins kick this series off in January, but dates and guests of honour have been lined up for the rest of 2018:
- Tuesday, May 1 – Sherry Colbourne, President and CEO, Spark Centre
- Wednesday, July 18 – Patrick Lyver, Founder, Startup Durham Region
- Wednesday, October 10 – TBD.
WCC members and the greater community can get a discount by purchasing tickets to the whole series before Wednesday, January 17.
