ConnXGEN  

Designed over four years ago in partnership with business leaders under-30 years of age, the Whitby Chamber of Commerce (WCC) created connXGEN.  Identifying a gap in the Region for young people to meet in a relaxed but professional setting, the connXEN Committee creates programming to encourage business connections. Designed for any students, entrepreneurs or employees to grow their network and WCC membership is not required (but being under the age of 30 is!).

Young Entrepreneurs & Professionals Committee (YEP)

Launched over 10 years ago by younger members of the WCC, the YEP Committee hosts four events a year that are designed to encourage young professionals and those young at heart to attend.  Designed to encourage business connections, YEP events range from curling and beach volleyball to creek cleanups and unique holiday parties.

Watch for YEP Committee events taking place quarterly on the Chamber Events calendar.

IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility) Committee

The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility (IDEA) Committee at the Whitby Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable business environment. This committee works to curate and update valuable resources for small to medium enterprises, helping them implement best practices in promoting diversity, equity, and accessibility within their organizations. The IDEA Committee also welcomes feedback and recommendations from members to ensure that the resource library remains relevant and effective in supporting the business community's evolving needs.
