Post-Federal Budget Q&A

On May 26, 2021, our business community had the chance to hear from our guests MP Ryan Turnbull and the Honourable Mona Fortier, Associate Minister of Finance and Minister of Middle-Class Prosperity. Watch the video here.

Our Advocacy Committee represents our business community interests, so it was appreciated that we had the chance to discuss the federal budget recently released, including business supports, transit infrastructure support for the Region and the sizeable spend planned to renew & restart our economy. The chamber actively submitted our POV and attended the pre-budget consultations and given the challenges this last year, in particular, I very much appreciate these volunteers and their ongoing efforts in representing our membership’s interests.

I’m hopeful that with our ongoing diligence, commitment to safe business practices, passion and innovation we’ll move into the summer months with much-needed prosperity.
