Call for 2025-26 Board of Director Nominations

Are you passionate about the Whitby business community and ready to make a difference? The Whitby Chamber of Commerce (WCC) is now accepting nominations for its 2025-26 Board of Directors. Nominate yourself or a fellow Chamber member to help guide the Chamber’s mission and support local businesses through leadership and innovation.

Why Join the Board?

As a Board Director, you will:

• Shape the Chamber’s goals and strategies.
• Advocate for the business community.
• Contribute to Whitby’s economic growth.

This role requires dedication beyond meetings and a passion for making a positive impact.

Ideal candidates are members in good standing with skills like:

• Business knowledge and forward thinking.
• Strategic decision-making.
• Financial literacy.
• Experience with government regulations.
• Awareness of industry trends.
• Willingness to attend events and promote the Chamber.

• Nominations Open: November 25, 2024, at 9 a.m.
• Deadline for Submissions: January 6, 2025, at 5 p.m.
• Mandatory Briefing: January 17, 2025, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Voting Period: January 20 to February 20, 2025.
• Results Announced: February 24-26, 2025.
• Observation Meeting: March 18, 2025.
• AGM Introduction: March 25, 2025.

1. Complete the nomination form.
2. Submit it with:
   • A biography and headshot.
   • A 100-word statement on why you want to serve.
3. Email your package to karey@whitbychamber.org or deliver it to:
