Peter Perry & Business Achievement Award Winners Unveiled

Paul Rolland Named 69th Peter Perry Award Winner at Annual Whitby Chamber of Commerce Event

WHITBY, Ont., November 7, 2024 – The Whitby Chamber of Commerce (WCC) proudly announced the 2024 Peter Perry Award recipient, Paul Rolland, recognized for over 35 years of dedicated service to the community. Paul moved to Whitby more than 40 years ago and has passionately spent those years serving the people of Whitby. He is widely respected by those who volunteer alongside him, known for his reliability and inspiring nature. Mayor Liz Roy described him as an “unstoppable force for community good.”

In his acceptance speech, Paul humbly stated, “I was born for volunteer work.” His unwavering commitment to bettering his community has left an indelible mark on Whitby.

In addition to the Peter Perry Award, the WCC celebrated excellence through the Business Achievement Awards.

The 2024 Business Achievement Award winners are:

Business Achievement Award (1-15 Employees): The Travelling Stage
Business Achievement Award (16+ Employees): 4Sight Utility Engineers
Not-for-Profit Organization of the Year: Melly’s Market + Cafe
New Business of the Year: Epic Bingo
Businessperson of the Year: Isaac Wanzama – Geekspeak Commerce
TODD SKINNER Entrepreneur of the Year: Mike Libbey – Your Bottom Line

Guests also enjoyed the glamorous theme of Hollywood, Oscars, and Red Carpet, making for a memorable evening.
