Peter Perry & Business Achievement Award Winners Unveiled

Joe Drumm named 67th Peter Perry Award winner at annual Whitby Chamber of Commerce (WCC) event.

WHITBY, Ont., November 10, 2022 – Mayor Don Mitchell announced the 2022 Peter Perry Award recipient, Joe Drumm.  Community builder, volunteer and long-time Town of Whitby Council member, Joe Drumm was surprised at the Whitby Chamber of Commerce gala at Deer Creek Golf & Country Club.

“I served on council for 41 years. We always looked to better our community,” said Drumm at Thursday evenings’ gala. “We tried to work together. We didn’t always agree, but our goal to help build Whitby was the same.”

In addition to awarding this prestigious honour, the WCC had the privilege to celebrate excellence through the Business Achievement Awards. This year, businesses were awarded in six categories.
